One of the more important events in the VPN world is the VPN bakeoff that happens approximately every nine months. Although VPNC does not sponsor or put on the bakeoff, VPNC heartily supports the event. The next VPN bakeoff will be held in Espoo, Finland (near Helsinki) August 13-19, 2001. This is the week following the IETF meeting in London, so many people will already be in Europe. Further details on the event can be found at the bakeoff's web site.
