Welcome to the latest issue of the VPNC Update. We hope you find the news in this issue valuable.
Ixia
Ixia produces the IxVPN which tests IPsec VPN performance using Ixia's
Gigabit Ethernet traffic generators. IxVPN measures key IPsec
performance parameters such as the maximum tunnel setup rate, maximum
number of simultaneous tunnels that can be sustained, encryption and
decryption throughput, and encryption and decryption latency. The IxVPN
system can predict application performance across IPsec VPNs and
delivers an extensive set of statistics and real-time graphs, both at
the per-tunnel and aggregate level.
SnapGear
SnapGear produces VPN Firewall Appliances designed to provide Internet
security and privacy of communications for business use. Edge network
protection is foremost in SnapGear's product strategy, so all products
incorporate dynamic firewalling, anti-intrusion, IPSec peer-to-peer, and
PPTP client and server technology. However, with the introduction of
PCI-based devices, SnapGear customers can enjoy both exterior and
interior network protection. SnapGear also does complete custom
engineering solutions including development, design, manufacturing, and
fulfillment services.
This month, two of VPNC members' products successfully finished their testing for both the Basic Conformance logo and the Rekeying Conformance logo:
