Welcome to the latest issue of the VPNC Update. We hope you find the news in this issue valuable.
BtNAccess
BtNAccess is a leading legacy-free Internet backbone provider, offering
end-to-end IP-based connectivity solutions to carriers, ISPs, ICPs, ASPs
and enterprise customers over a global MPLS-enabled network. BtNAccess
offers a Multi-Service IP Port that supports a wide range of services
such as Internet access, VPN, and VoIP. BtNAccess VPN service is
available with three CoS and speeds up to 155Mbps. Based in Reston, VA
and Hong Kong, BtNAccess is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PCCW Ltd.
The VPNC interoperability testing program continues to grow. There are now 15 systems in the lab that all have full interoperability with every other system. This interoperability is easily reproduced by users in their own facilities using the VPNC documentation profiles.
One question that VPNC gets asked frequently is what happens when there is a software update to any of the systems in the lab. (Some testing organizations only test one version of a product.) When there is a significant update, the VPNC member revises their documentation profile if there were any changes to the administrative interface that affects the IPsec tunnels, and then VPNC re-tests the system with every other system in the interop lab and posts all changes to the VPNC web site. VPNC does not charge its members for this additional testing.
This month, three of VPNC members' products successfully finished their testing for the Basic Interoperability logo:
