Ensuring Security and Compliance Through Policy-based Networking, from AEP Networks, is a good introduction in how to set up the security of a network. The setup is based on network-wide policies instead of think of the policies as "firewall rules". Such thinking is particularly useful for networks with many remote users, both individuals on PCs and remote offices with their own networks.
