Welcome to the latest issue of the VPNC Update. We hope you find the news in this issue valuable.
VPNC's labs are often busy with a mix of testing new VPN systems and re-testing current systems that have significant updates to their firmware. Beyond the logos we are announcing this month, we have many other systems in the test queue and expect logos for them in the coming months as well.
This month, we tested a new SSL VPN system from a long-time VPNC member. The following system received VPNC logos for SSL Portal, SSL Exchange, SSL Firefox, SSL JavaScript, and SSL Basic Network Extension:
This month, one member received updates to both the VPNC Basic Interoperability logo and the VPNC AES Interoperability logo for a system that were re-tested:
See the VPNC testing page for full lists of all the VPNC members' products which have proven interoperability.

For many of us, business continuity only comes to mind when we read about disasters in the newspaper or, worse, when we have been hit with one ourselves. Those of us in California have probably been thinking more about this topic with the devastating fires last week and the medium-sized earthquake in San Jose the other night. Preparing for Emergencies: Using SSL VPN Technology to Ensure Business Continuity, from AEP Networks, is a good, short introduction to how businesses can use SSL VPNs to help recover from disasters in an orderly fashion.
