Welcome to the web site for the ietf-ipsec-failover mailing list. The list discusses the topic of IPsec gateway failover and redundancy solutions. IPsec gateway failovers are handled today either in a proprietary manner transparent to the client or by the client starting over, running IKEv2 with a new gateway upon failover. The discussions on this list will focus on defining an interoperable solution that allows quicker and secure failover across potentially distributed gateways, where the failover may not necessarily be transparent to the client.
