Are folks over here aware that the cellular folks are requiring ipv6 in next gen handsets, and all that implies for security? This issue is not entirely academic anymore.
note that draft-iab-wirelessws-00.txt indicates that there was resistance to acceptance of IPv6 in "any" of 3G standards efforts (section 3.10). it also notes that "there was considerable aversion to use of IPsec and IKE protocols due to perceived overhead and delay." -paul
