I understand that the destination address provides this 
information.  However, my understanding is that people who have tried to 
implement this stuff for very high-speed environments have found the 
gathering of information from various sources in the IP and ESP headers is 
a major portion of the overall small packet processing time.  I was 
wondering if this was a cheap way to assist them.
