Hi,

while I was checking todays market on CeBit this week, I got confused by so
many different opinions and solutions for remote access scenarios using
IPSec. Is there any definitive consense of vendors?

Is there still a fight between IPSec under or over L2TP and IPSec with
Xauth? Or, who won the battle? The enduser must be really confused rather
more than me. What will be the future technology for a secure RAS??? Perhaps
my own proprietary protocol??? ;-)

I wonder if you could tell me, who is using which protocol? And what do you
think will be the technology used in the future?

P.S.: I am very interested in your opinion, because I would like to collect
some ideas about IPSec RAS for my thesis.
